Seeds of this organization were sown when I was still in Punjab (India). Being born to a theater
couple, I was raised on stage. My father, a well known Punjabi Play-wright and a stage Director uses
theater as a tool of mass awareness. I have been actively involved with his theater group as an actor
and organizer, observing and evaluating the effectiveness of this tool.I saw him going  village to
village with his theater group & did notice the effect of theater art. No doubt it is a very effective tool,
however it can reach very small section of society.  I wanted to reach more people in India & Indians
living out side India by using a wide ranging creative medium but didn't know what.  Out of this
frustration and also my idealism I joined law practice at the age of twenty two. My dream of changing
the world came crumbling down with in few years. I realized that the people who needed help the
most or who were victims of our corrupt system didn't even know that they were being wronged. I
knew I was back to my original idea & had to find a creative and wide ranging awareness tool that
stimulated me and helped my people  understand our corrupt system. For some reason films and
specially documentary films seemed to be the only viable answer to my calling. This realization gave
birth to my production company in India named Srijan (To Create). We faced many obstacles
because it was almost impossible for us to get grants or any kind of financial aid for what we wanted
to achieve by our short documentary & narrative films. However we dragged ourselves in making few
short films with our own resources. Finally Situation in Punjab deteriorated due to State oppression &
people's retaliation to the state terrorism. I ended up making a feature length documentary film on
this subject for a Canada based Sikh organization. Obviously it offended the watchdogs of our
system and I decided to move to America. I wanted to continue making films in America but  knew that
I could no longer afford a crew for my films. I decided to learn the craft aspect of this art and joined
Masters of Fine Arts program with the University of North Texas. This is where I started producing
and directing again. Now I shoot and edit myself, however I still wish somebody can collaborate with
me as cinematographer in my wild ventures. I could never imagine that camera could be so
intoxicating and addictive without actually using it myself. I am really thankful to Prof. Ben & Melinda
Levin for helping me learn this beautiful craft and providing their guidance whenever & wherever
    required.

I have added some short documentary films and some clips from my films in progress on this website.
I hope you enjoy the films & take something from them. However what I am looking for is sincere input
from my viewers. I am also open to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to contact
me. I will respond to your input or question as prompt as possible.

I do not claim my films to be reformative but I do make a sincere attempt to present the facts with
honesty hoping for a much needed healthy dialogue in the society.

Wishing for peace & hopefulness on our planet.
